Dashboard Setup
Upon logging in, you’ll be greeted by the PVSketch Mega dashboard. This is your central hub for project management, where you can access different tools and features of the platform.
Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the layout. You’ll find quick access to project creation, your project list, and various tools and settings. Under profile and settings, you can customize your experience. Here, you can update your personal information, change your password, and configure default settings for your projects.
Key Commands
Listed below are key icons in the top left corner of the PVSketch Mega design interface you will need to layout and adjust your project:
- Circles: Draw circles to outline obstructions or trees. Click First to place center location, drag mouse to expand radius and click again to add to map.
- Copy/ Paste: Items can be copied selected on the map and paste them using the paste icon or ctrl-V on a location indicated by the cursor. Paste copied objects by clicking on the map.
- Trash Can: Delete items selected on the map using the select tool.
- Line: Draw line to outline the ground mount area and obstructions. Click your starting point to finish your object. Hold SHIFT to snap lines to existing objects. Hold ctrl (or cmd sign on Mac) to limit the cursor to 15° increments after you have drawn the first line segment.
- Square: Select one or multiple objects (hold ctrl) to move/copy/delete or use to explore the map.
- Undo: Undo the most recent action
- Click on Map: Place a single Point of Interconnect (POI) for all ground mounted areas by clicking on the map
